Harp Screen -

This is a straight wire slotted screen that is tensioned from both ends.  This screen has no cross members to hang up material.  Its openings are long narrow slots.  The wires allow for some vibration, which increases production.  These are best used in dry screening applications.  They are typically 3/4” opening or smaller and are used in the bottom decks of shaker screens only.

Finger Screen -

This is used when a soil like product contains a lot of roots or stringy material.  Finger screens cascade on top of one another, never allowing material to clog on the screen.  These are commonly used on the top or bottom decks of conventional Screen Machines in applications like compost or mulch.
